SPM Special Machine Srl: Our story
Our story begins at the end of October 2019, when the company SPM Special Machine Srl was founded.
Its business activities are carried out at the industrial site in Via Padana Superiore 38 Inzago (Milan), in a structure divided into production, warehousing and logistics areas, as well as design and administration offices.
The company’s main aim is to stand among the manufacturers in the industry, offering highly-engineered products in the field of mobile electro-fluid power systems, so as to revive the tradition of Italian excellence in the electromechanical sector that enjoyed its peak in the 1980s and 1990s. Unfortunately, this excellence was dissolved or absorbed by large foreign multinational companies.

Over 20 years of experience guaranteeing a state-of-the-art product
SPM Special Machine is the product of research & development, incubated by twenty years of experience, and innovative ideas developed by the three partners in the field of heavy-duty electromechanical engineering (oil & gas, off-shore, mobile OPS ship power, land-based shipbuilding, earthmoving, industry, steel and mining).
After the company’s first few months of engineering research into different products and materials, the results achieved mainly centred on the development of two key product families (Slip ring & Cable reel) for explosion proof, marine safety and earthmoving applications. These constitute innovative solutions from an electromechanical point of view, such as sliding electrical contact, which ensures the electrical transmission of auxiliary power, and analogue and digital signals from fixed to mobile platforms.
The company’s primary objective is to immediately position itself as a manufacturer of products of excellence in the complex landscape of mobile electrical power systems, investing in products validated with patents and international certifications (CE, ATEX, IECEX, EAC, DNV MARINE). These give the SPM Special Machine company effective tools to safely address the various heavy-duty fields of application.
